Safety contactor for motors, suitable for complete devices up to 170 A. Utilisation categories include AC-1 for non-inductive or weakly inductive loads and resistance furnaces, AC-3 for squirrel cage motors during starting and switching off while running, and AC-4 for starting, counter-current braking, reversing, and inching. Connection technology features screw terminals. This product is also suitable for motors of efficiency class IE3, with IE3-compatible devices labelled on the packaging.

Description: The contactor includes two electronically compatible microswitches (1 S + 1 Ö) and an auxiliary switch module permanently connected to the basic device (manual operation not possible).

Rated operating current AC-3 at 380 V and 400 V is Ie = 9 A. The rated operating current AC-1 for conventional thermal current is 3-pole, 50 - 60 Hz open at 40 °C: Ith = Ie = 22 A, encapsulated: Ith = 18 A. The rated operating current AC-1 for conventional thermal current in a 1-pole open configuration is Ith = 50 A, encapsulated: Ith = 45 A.

Maximum rated operating power for three-phase motors at 50 - 60 Hz AC-3 is 220 V 230 V: P = 2.5 kW, 380 V 400 V: P = 4 kW, and 660 V 690 V: P = 4.5 kW. For AC-4, the maximum rated operating power is 220 V 230 V: P = 1.5 kW, 380 V 400 V: P = 2.5 kW, and 660 V 690 V: P = 3.6 kW.

Contact configurations include S = NO contact: 2 S and NC = NC contact: 3 NC. Additional notes: Switching elements comply with EN 50012, integrated varistor protection circuit, and features a mirror contact (not for microswitches). The current type is AC/DC with DC actuation.
