    Highly recommended for anyone with EDU eligibility.

    The EDU version is already cheap for authorised users, and Acrobat can already do much more than Reader. Especially the conversion of PDFs into Microsoft Office files is very powerful.
    The registration process on the Adobe     homepage is not quite trivial, but doable.

    • EDU version very affordable
    • No subscription, but unlimited version

    Contra

    • Registration with Adobe requires some searching on the homepage

    Acrobat as requested

    Works without any problems, as desired. The registration process at Adobe is a bit complicated at first glance, but is completed quickly. (The key purchased here is merely an authorisation to register an EDU version of Acrobat).
