This turntable clearly exudes quality (it is very heavy, not much plastic here). A very good point of this turntable is the fact that it is equipped with a preamp, so simply connect it to your AUX inputs of your hi-fi system or others to enjoy your vinyl records.

Valuable design, familiar handling, nice features, but one small shortcoming

Valuable design, familiar handling, nice features, but one small shortcoming.

The design is very similar to the Technics MK1210, with additional features like 10/20% pitch switch, reverse and quartz on/off switch.

    The
unit is really solid - only the tonearm doesn't really fit into the picture with its plastic.

Unfortunately, both AT-LP120s have the same "quirk" that the platter sometimes starts to jerk if you slow it down in a certain way. Then the platter (also in quartz mode) always shakes a bit back and forth (faster and slower), visibly recognisable at the strobo points. Apparently one is in some tipping point of the motor torque. This phenomenon produces an audible rubbing at the audio output, and thus on the system.

Otherwise good, but for this price you shouldn't expect miracles.

Very good and I think excellent with a higher end cell.

What a nice surprise. Excellent turntable with excellent value for money.
