    Solid mid-range DSLR

    With the Canon EOS 77D, Canon delivers an all-round solid mid-range DSLR. It convinces with an excellent image quality, a rotatable and swivelling touch display, which enables a very intuitive operation, as well as upper class features such as the monochrome control display on the top. However, the fact that 4K video recording is not possible in 2017 is rather questionable for me. Nevertheless, the 77D is a successful overall package for me and my ideal new travel companion.

    • Good picture quality for the price range
    • Long battery life (up to 600 images)

    • No 4K video recording (only up to Full HD, 60fps)

    For ambitious photographers who value good operability, this is a top camera.

    Very great DSLR for ambitious photographers. Easy to use, especially for those who have had an EOS before.
    It's very easy and quick to get to grips with.
    Personally, I think the camera is still perfectly fine in terms of     compactness and weight. I carry it with me a lot when I travel.
    The rotating and swivelling screen is very practical. I also find the image stabiliser quite good when filming. However, 4K resolution would be desirable.
    The autofocus does a great job, even in low light.
