    Cool thing!

    The DJI Phatontom 4 is really fun and suitable for beginners as well as advanced pilots. DJI really puts a lot of effort into this drone so that it can be flown by anyone. With all the sensors that support flying and try to avoid dangers. Even no-fly zones are recognised in the app and the drone does not take off. Nevertheless, it is important to familiarise yourself with the legal guidelines before buying a drone (or at the latest before your first flight). At least some people know that you need liability insurance if your drone weighs more than 500 grams. Details can be found at the FOCA.
    Another big plus is that you can find countless tips and tutorials on the Internet. If something doesn't work, the DJI community will help you very quickly.
    But don't be blinded by the amazing videos on YouTube. If you have never had anything to do with video/film, it is difficult to achieve the same results. Even if the camera is great, you can't get around complex colour grading for such results. But there's nothing at all wrong with shooting a film now and then.
    The gimbal is also top class... nothing shakes at "normal" exposure times.
    A few more details about the camera: The dynamic range is quite low and due to the sensor size only ISO 100 or 200 is actually usable. The aperture is fixed at f/2.8 just like the focal length and focus, which is a bit of a shame from time to time. On the positive side, photos can also be shot in RAW. This makes for some really cool HDR images! Unfortunately, details blur very quickly when filming, as the bit rate of 60 Mbit/s is quite low.

    Conclusion:
    The flying device is almost a professional drone, but the many intelligent functions make it suitable for beginners.
    As a camera, it is only a hobby device.

    Absolutely ingenious product!

    I've had the drone for a fortnight and have already flown it for over 8 hours. After a short familiarisation phase, it is absolutely easy to operate. Even as a beginner, you can take great photos and films. The best gadget in a long time:-)
