  Very happy with this device!

  I tried a few scanners so far and was looking for an upgrade. They use this device at my work to archive all paperwork and was recommended to not look further. Great choice!

  I definitely recommend the scanner for home usage or small office

  Once everything is working the scanner is very good and quick. I set it up to work via the cloud sending different types of admin docs to different folder on my cloud service with touchscreen shortcuts for very folder and works perfectly.
  
  The initial setup took a bit of time since the scanner could not find my phone / pc on the network. One it did it was quiet straightforward.
  You can edit / delete / copy pre existing profiles to create your own with the software installed on the pc. When scanning to my cloud the OCR is done during the scan so docs are searchable.
  
  I do not use it to scan to hard drive so cannot feedback on that part.
  
  One thing is missing: direct scan to email. You can scan to outlook email but when using gmail for example does not work. It. Only minor annoyance since you can scan the doc to the cloud or to your fuji phone app and then in a click attach it to an outgoing email .
  
  No need for computer except initial setup.

  it changed my life

  I decided to change and go to a new way of living: as a new resolution for 2021, the household will be 99.9% paperless.
  
  Then, during the X-mas holidays in 2020, I bought ScanSnap iX1500 and spent some time scanning ALL my "legacy" docs, papers, whatever. After hours and hours of scanning, I can tell with some degree of experience: THIS IS THE BEST SCANNER IN THE MARKET, AT THE PRESENT MOMENT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT TO GO PAPERLESS. That's it. Nothing more to add. more
