Fairly cheap CPU that can be over clocked. Usuful for people like me who play games that are more single threaded like me (X-Plane 11, P3DV4). Cheaper than a 7600k/7700K. However, to get the max speed, you need to have a AIO cooler and it's better to delid. 1 start of for Intels crappy TIM! I run at 4.8Ghz. 1.375v, max 82 Deg after 30 mins Prime. Games are about 15-20 degrees cooler (Prime is very aggressive!), another thing to mention is that the silicon used on this CPU means a 4.9Ghz seems to be the max it can hit, even if voltage and temperature are within limits. For a budget build it's a good CPU, but obviously it's not going to be a great seller now that 6 cores and more are the minimum more popular and future games. At least in a year or two, you can pop in a 8700k for an upgrade, unless you want to go to Icelake.

The processor is pretty good. Since it has 4 cores from the 8th generation, it is on the same level as the earlierene i5. With a Gigabyte mATX board and the Thermalright Macho 2 cooler, I was able to overclock the CPU to 4.8 GHz @ approx. 1.3-1.35 V.
Unfortunately, it is a bit expensive for the performance. With a few francs more, you already get a non-K i5 with 6 cores.

I had set out to build 4 identical, versatile configurations.
This product was a perfect match in terms of price and performance.
