I don't know why, but I'd buy it again.

    I don't know why I bought them.
Probably because I never had walkie-talkies as a kid. Well, I have them now.

A radio with a wide range of applications and a long service life.

The radios have an excellent finish. They come in a practical carrying case in which the accessories supplied (stickers, key ring, carrying clips, batteries with charging adapter and microphone with headphones) can also be stored. The audio quality of the transmission is amazingly good, even over longer distances. Operation is simple and intuitive. The radios can also be operated with three AA batteries. However, I find the minimum volume of the call tones too loud and it is also a pity that they do not have a higher IP certification.

Actually top, only again the eternal evil with the range.

The Motorola TLKR T82 feels very high quality workmanship. Nothing wobbles or is loose, pressure points of all buttons (in all my 4 devices) very good. After initial set up with the user guide, very easy to use on a daily basis. Does not feel so slip-proof because the housing is not rubberized. Had hoped that the devices in standby (switched on the ringing tone can be received) last longer, until they run out of juice. And the always same evil with the range information. I am aware that this information can only be achieved in absolutely perfect conditions. But in my case the 2 objects are only 1.6 km apart as the crow flies and have line of sight. Nevertheless, the calling person must first on the balcony otherwise the called device does not respond. To communicate reasonably noise-free both have to stand on the balcony. And last but not least, I bought extra devices that are charged via a USB port. For me this is a backup in case of a longer power failure. Unfortunately, the devices only charge with the supplied 230V USB charger. Neither with my other, nor with the actually intended Power Bank they can be charged.

    Pro

    • very nicely finished
    • handy
    • easy handling

    Contra

    • by far not 10km
    • somewhat slippery
    • battery life in standby
    • charging only possible with the supplied charger.
