    By far the best APS-C camera!

    I don't know what to write, I'm blown away.... After my D7000 got on in years, I bought the D500. And hoblaschorsch, the camera can do something... (And I know that Snapbridge doesn't work yet, but it doesn't bother me in the least). 

    Pro

    • Speed
    • Focus system (wide measuring field coverage, works excellently even in the dark)
    • Haptics (very comfortable for large hands to hold)
    • Picture quality (ISO and DR)
    • Large and bright viewfinder
    • Extremely sharp display, also tiltable
    • Noise behaviour at high ISO
    • Pro layout of the controls

    Contra

    • I don't have enough time to take pictures...

    Top camera! Super equipment for the semi-professional.

    Thank you Digitec. The announced 4-6 weeks turned out to be just two. So today I was able to take the D500 with me to the first wedding as a second camera.
    The device convinces in almost all points as expected. Top autofocus,     a lot has changed since the last models. The pictures at high iso values are also impressive. For me, the folding display is also an absolute plus. AND, finally there are AF points again right up to the edge of the image. That was a real pain with the Nikon D610.
    The speed (on XQD) is a drawback. The automatic display of the photos immediately after taking them takes a lot longer than usual. So far I've also had some difficulties reading the XQD card via the cable supplied (USB3). The copying of 1000 NEF photos has already been interrupted several times. I think I need another card reader.
    And in my opinion, the camera (with Bluetooth switched off etc.) needs twice as much juice as, for example, the D610 with the same battery.
    All in all, the D500 is absolutely convincing, I can only recommend it.

    An absolute must for professional sports photographers. Better than FX!

    As a motorsport photographer, I find the DX cameras from Nikon great, you are a factor of 1.5 closer to the action. That's why I didn't switch to FX this time either, but stayed true to DX with the D500.

    Absolutely top     camera.

    • Incredible image quality at High-ISO (32'000)
    • Super fast with 10 frames per second
    • Very fast and perfectly seated autofocus

    Contra

    • Battery grip is way too expensive (1/4 of the price of the camera, hello?)
