I bought my SONOS speakers in 2017. At the beginning the system worked quite well, sometimes the speakers were not found in the system, but at least you could have music played through the speakers.
Then came the period with the almost daily software updates, before you could play music, the software had to be reloaded. Simply annoying.
Then the system was updated. Every few months, the software had to be completely reloaded for this, for which all boxes are disconnected from the system and individually reintegrated into the system. The interaction of Spotify and SONOS always took some getting used to, but didn't really work after that.
To fix the software bugs, test at the customer, the software had to be renewed again and again - again no music!
Now the older systems are no longer supported, which means for SONSO users that new boxes must be purchased, but for this there is a 30% discount, but only if you make the old unusable.
What a business policy?
Have put a lot of money into my SONOS product, have had a lot of work with all attempts to get the existing and very expensive system up and running again.
Will never touch a SONOS product again in my life!
It is quite difficult to find negative criticism of SONOS on the net, because SONOS specifically "manages" all bogs:
