When I first looked through the viewfinder of the a6000...

When I first looked through the viewfinder of the a6000, I was shocked at how small and dark the thing is. However, I then realised that the dioptre correction had been adjusted *g* - I also increased the brightness of the viewfinder and now find it not bad at all. It definitely flickers less than the NEX-6.

Of course, the display and viewfinder should not be compared with the current models from Fujifilm or Olympus. These cameras are in a different league and the a6000 costs a lot less.

I like the new menus similar to those of the a7, which make operation much more pleasant, even if they are not yet perfect.

Functions can be assigned to the buttons, I chose magnifier and edge enhancement. The record button cannot be assigned, but you can programme it so that it only has a function in film mode.

The frames per second rate is very fast, the slower setting is enough for me. Focus tracking together with continuous shooting works quite well, but it takes a while to find the right settings (continuous shooting, AF-C, tracking field size). If you need certain functions often, you can put them on the quick menu.

Since recently, the Sony apps have finally been available in the Swiss store - more or less silently. Fortunately, Sony has not converted the Euro prices into Swiss francs by +30%. So the Lens Correction App costs CHF 12.99 (EUR 9.99). Fair enough. Whereby I - fortunately - don't know the US prices....

Apart from that, I can't say much more about the a6000. The a6000 is of course again very small and compact, in the spirit of the NEX series, even if it is now called alpha. RAW support in Lightroom has just been added (LR 5.4). The images are good even at higher ISO numbers.

Very good camera. Ideal mix of SLR with many functions and a compact camera. I've had several Sony compact cameras and a Canon SLR. This camera combines the advantages of both while eliminating the disadvantages of both.

    The
zoom lens in the kit is also very convincing.

    Also great for shooting movies.

WLAN synchronisation of films on Apple laptops does not seem to be fully developed yet. Synchronisation on iPhone is possible via the free Sony app, but it cannot distinguish between portrait and landscape format.

System camera with very good price-performance ratio. Easy to use and highly customisable.
Almost all buttons can be assigned individually if required.
Apps expand the camera's range of functions, quickly installed thanks
    to Wi-Fi.

However, you have to try out the functions yourself or look them up on the Internet, the minimal manual does not provide any help here. To date, no manual worthy of the name is available online either.
    **Edit 2/23/2015
The detailed manual is now also available for download in German:

    Pro

    • Range of functions can be extended by means of (partly paid) apps
    • Good size
    • Very fast autofocus, good pictures even in low light
    • Large lens selection
