Received Saturday June 27 and had the opportunity to test it during the weekend.
I already owned a home cinema installation, projector + 5.1 amp in the DVD era.
I just wanted something autonomous, without having to pull cables once again, it's always a pain to send the video signal to the projo (often behind you) and the audio signal to the amp (often under the screen, so in front of you)
The advantage of this nice little beast is precisely its autonomy.
On the paper they announce 800 ANSI lumens, once the calibration of the colors / luminosity carried out (the factory settings tend to an exaggeration of the green, thus to be corrected because inoperable in home-cinema), we are below, around 450, this thus requires a dark room. It is possible to watch a movie with a weak artificial light source in the room, but avoid daylight.
In these conditions, it's really amazing. I have something like 3m back and a picture of about 2.5m base (!) while keeping a very clean picture, however, remember, the more back you have, the more brightness you also lose.
The VLC app (native) handles different video formats AND subtitles (this was a concern for me as no test mentioned this, so I confirm, it handles external .srt files perfectly).
Installing Netflix via the play store will not work and will result in a "projo is not optimized for Netflix" message.
Don't panic though, you can download the Netflix app in .apk and install it via the USB port, once done, open the Kodi app (native) and go get the "addons" menu, scroll right and launch Netflix.
The navigation is a bit tedious, but quite manageable.
The speakers are really quite good for a small room (20m square or so), but don't expect deep bass.
In short, if you are not a hardened purist, go for it.

Convincing picture quality and functionality. It's just a pity that Netflix doesn't work via the build-in app, i.e. when we want to watch Netflix, we use the connection.
