The ZAS K2 is a complete device set consisting of the active separation relay ATR U2 and the magnetic contact MKW 1. It is ideally suited for controlling exhaust systems and range hoods in conjunction with room air-dependent heating appliances in accordance with the Heating Appliance Regulation.

The active separation relay allows for the simplest switching of mains voltage consumers through low-voltage contacts. A power supply for controlling the relay coil is not required, as the relay internally generates the necessary control voltage (24 V DC PELV). In conjunction with the magnetic contact MKW 1, it is thus possible to implement a supply air monitoring system, often required for closed rooms, when operating exhaust fans with minimal effort.

Due to the changeover contact, the ATR U2 is extremely versatile.
