The Harmony XPS Basic safety relays implement fundamental safety functions. They prioritize classic functions and ease of use with many switching contacts. They can be operated directly without any settings and feature a realizable safety function. The mechanical normally open contacts from emergency stop/stop buttons, position switches, or pull-wire switches are integrated into the supply circuit of the safety relay. This allows the safety function to be implemented in either single or dual-channel (redundant) configurations. For the start function, automatic, manual, or monitored start options are available at separate inputs. This safety switching device has 4 safe relay normally closed contacts and 2 relay normally open contacts as outputs. The supply voltage ranges from 48-240 VAC/DC, and connections are made via detachable spring terminals. Applications can be realized up to safety level PL e in category 4 or SIL3. Installation is done by snapping onto a DIN rail or by screw mounting on mounting plates. To protect the settings under the transparent cover, a clearly numbered locking band is included. A variety of approvals enable international use.
