The Modicon modular safety controller XPSMCM allows for easy configuration of safety applications and flexible expansion of the system with modules according to the application. This central unit (CPU) of version 2 is the basic module required for any safety system in machines and plants. The processing of the configured safety application takes place within the CPU. It provides 8 safe digital inputs, 4 safe OSSD outputs, and 2 status outputs. With the included backplane bus connector, expansion modules can be directly connected.
