The study aims to assess the current status and future prospects of sustainable energy development in Ethiopia over a ten-year period. Special attention is given to the integration of solar energy into rural electrification, using a specific model to investigate the technical and economic aspects of solar PV systems. This investigation is complemented by a case study of a school project on Zuway Island, demonstrating the feasibility and benefits of solar-powered off-grid electricity supply systems.
