Product details
This book presents an innovative migraine therapy developed by the author, which he has successfully practiced for years. The starting point for the Kern migraine therapy was the discovery that migraine symptoms can often be localized and palpated on the body, for example, in the form of restricted movement in the cervical spine or poorly perfused periosteum. From this, the author developed his guiding idea: if the pain phenomenon is so precisely manifested in the body, it should also be possible to exert targeted influence on it through the body. His "recipe" for headaches: manual treatment applies touch stimuli that trigger a sense of well-being. For instance, this can stimulate lymph flow or enhance blood circulation in the periosteum. Patients learn to understand these touch stimuli as a new language. The body is informed through the treatment (in the truest sense of the word) about how it can feel better – it learns to transform its pain memory, which reacts with pain perception during migraines, into a kind of "well-being memory." The textbook, equipped with around 100 photos and 50 graphics, teaches doctors, alternative practitioners, physiotherapists, and body therapists the fundamentals and practical application of the method. It is also suitable as background information for medically interested patients. In a time when non-drug, side-effect-free alternatives to conventional medicine are in high demand, this book demonstrates that migraines and headaches can be naturally healed.
