The book "Set-Valued Mappings and Enlargements of Monotone Operators" offers a comprehensive introduction to set-valued analysis, which is significant for the mathematical modeling of numerous real-world situations, particularly in the equilibrium theory of mathematical economics. It addresses the relatively new subdiscipline of enlargements of maximal monotone operators and presents several important new results in this field. In recent decades, effective algorithms have been developed within the framework of nonsmooth optimization to solve problems such as nonsmooth variational inequalities. The work analyzes various methods, including the bundle method for variational problems, and provides a detailed examination of these approaches. The initial chapters provide a self-contained overview of fundamental concepts and results of set-valued analysis, including set convergence and the continuity of set-valued mappings, as well as important results from infinite-dimensional convex analysis.
