The book "System Level Design of Reconfigurable Systems-on-Chip" offers a comprehensive analysis of the challenges and difficulties encountered in the design of reconfigurable systems on a chip (SoCs). Given the increasing demands for flexibility and computing power, reconfiguration becomes a crucial aspect in the design of SoCs. The work is divided into three parts: the first part provides fundamental information and requirements for reconfigurable technologies and systems. The second part identifies existing methodological gaps and presents a design flow for the development of reconfigurable SoCs, based on two C++-based methods: one based on SystemC and the other on OCAPI-XL, both with extensions to address reconfiguration issues. The third part of the book highlights reconfigurable SoCs from the designer's perspective and presents three exemplary case studies from the fields of wireless and multimedia communication.
