Examples of heat lamps suitable for this fixture include infrared lamps and dark emitters. Due to the heat, these lamps cannot be used with conventional sockets. However, the glazed layer of the ceramic socket ensures that the heat lamps can be used safely without the socket melting from the heat. The lamp can be attached to the ceiling using the metal hook.
