The dense fabric is wind- and water-resistant and very sturdy, yet extremely breathable and quick-drying. G-1000 is composed of a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, treated with a thin layer of Greenland wax. This wax provides the material with additional protection against dirt, wind, and moisture, and can be easily reapplied or washed out as needed. In addition to shielding against wind and weather, G-1000 also protects against harmful sun rays and annoying insect bites.
