A dream for the home workshop - clear purchase recommendation

My partner bought us this vacuum for our wood workshop at home.

First of all: a dream. Wouldn't want any other vacuum cleaner. The automatic on/off starts cleanly and smoothly. The run-on time is about 5 seconds and is enough to empty the suction hose. Thanks to the long hose, you can also sand larger workpieces without having to reposition the vacuum 100 times.

We use it bagless and the filter does not clog excessively. However, MDF dust does its best to clog the filter. The integrated filter cleaning works very well. Of course, cleaning by hand or with a compressor is more thorough, but also more time-consuming.

Two things you need to know:
- The unit comes with a Schuko plug (adapter included) and a Schuko socket for powering external devices. There is no adapter for the socket. For me, this is an advantage, as I have some DE devices, for others perhaps a disadvantage.
- Power supply of the socket: In the positions "Automatic" and "Normal" the socket is supplied, when the vacuum cleaner is on "Off", the socket is voltage-free. So a bridged router in the table starts running when you only want to vacuum.

The can's advertised 1300W output power should be taken with a grain of salt. My GTS10XC with 2000W can also be connected and operated.

We first ordered the Makita VC2512L, returned it pretty much immediately and then decided on this one from Flex. Not a second regretted. more
