With long, slender, streamlined bodies and webbed feet, otters are born swimmers. They can be found in the waterways of all continents except Australia and Antarctica. They are often seen floating on their backs. Their dense fur traps air, making them buoyant. Unfortunately, the fur is highly sought after, and otters have been hunted to near extinction in many areas.
