The Castolin Aluelektrode 2101 S is a high-quality, flux-coated stick electrode specifically designed for welding aluminum and aluminum alloys. With a diameter of 2.5 mm and a length of 250 mm, this electrode offers excellent performance for both joint and overlay welding. It produces a Si-alloyed weld metal based on aluminum, characterized by smooth and fine-scaled weld seams. The electrode allows for easy ignition and is ideal for repairs as well as for welding AlSi alloys and AlSi cast materials with a silicon content of up to 12%. To achieve optimal results, solid workpieces should be preheated to temperatures between 150 and 200º before welding.
