One of the most well-known British gliders, capable of transporting 25 men or large amounts of war material in its long fuselage. This glider was used in significant airborne operations during World War II. It became particularly famous for two of the most notable operations of the Allied airborne forces: the invasion of Normandy and the assault on the Arnhem Bridge in Holland.
