Product details
The Calliope mini is a microcontroller designed as an educational tool for children from the third grade, typically under adult supervision. The Calliope mini demonstrates that everyone can code - and do so with a lot of fun. The entry point is easy, allowing children, teachers, and parents to get started without prior knowledge. From the first self-programmed blinking light to self-driving robots and swarms of Calliope minis communicating wirelessly with each other: With just a few clicks, users can create their own programs for the microprocessor on a connected computer, bringing the Calliope mini to life.
The Calliope mini starter box includes a board along with accessories:
- Battery holder with batteries
- USB cable
- Booklet for the first computer-independent applications and one with programming examples
- Rubber band (for securing the battery compartment)
- Stickers.
Includes Jacdac expansion set. The Calliope mini 3 is equipped with two Jacdac connectors. These allow for the easy connection and combination of various Jacdac modules. Jacdac also enables direct communication via WebUSB with a connected computer. It is particularly designed for programming via USB cable connection with MakeCode, as the sensors/actuators are automatically detected and displayed. This automatic detection does not currently work via Bluetooth.
