By using Cokin neutral density filters, photographers and filmmakers can manipulate the light reaching the sensor as needed. This allows for filming with a wide aperture or capturing wide-aperture portraits. By extending the shutter speed, effects such as "misty water" or "distorted clouds" can be achieved.

The filters included in the Cokin Full ND Kit reduce light by different amounts:

• 1x ND2 filter Z152 (-1 stop)
• 1x ND4 filter Z153 (-2 stops)
• 1x ND8 filter Z154 (-3 stops)

This Cokin Full ND Kit is suitable for lens diameters from 49 mm to 96 mm. It is the ideal set to enhance existing Cokin equipment with a set of neutral density filters. Neutral density filters can be used in outdoor photography, landscape photography, as well as in studio photography.

Not all cameras have shutter speeds beyond 1/4000 second. Therefore, in many cases, it is necessary to stop down, even when it is not desired. The same applies in studio photography, where the sync speed varies between 1/160 and 1/250 (unless Hi-Speed sync is available), making wide-aperture portraits impossible for some subjects.

Neutral density filters provide a solution in both cases. These color-neutral filters can compensate for up to 3 stops. This opens up various possibilities for photographers and filmmakers to creatively implement their projects. As mentioned, this allows for opening the aperture by up to three stops or extending the exposure time accordingly. Special effects such as "misty water" or distorted clouds that create dynamism can be achieved.
