Product details
Cokin Nuances GND Filters (Graduated Neutral Density) are made from high-quality Schott B270® glass. The transmission properties are particularly high and are characterized by low reflection. Special attention was paid during development to ensure that the coating is precisely matched to the gray gradient. Suitable for lens diameters of 48 - 82 mm. ND 8 graduated filter (3 stops). Soft gradient. Schott B270® glass. Nano-coating. Fire-polished. Free from infrared pollution. Can be combined with other Cokin Nuances GND filters without color shifts. Compatible with other suitable filters from the Creative Filter System (appropriate filter holder and adapter ring are available separately). The surface is fire-polished, making it highly resistant both chemically and thermally. All of this combines to make the Cokin Nuances graduated filters a quality product of impressive neutrality. This is particularly evident when using multiple graduated filters simultaneously, which allows for solid darkening of the desired areas without color shifts. Cokin Nuances GND filters are used when you want to specifically darken an overly bright part of the image. This is the essential difference from the Cokin Nuances Full ND filters, which uniformly reduce the light hitting the sensor. In practice, the Nuances GND filters darken bright areas such as the sky in landscape photography, thereby enhancing contrast and structure in the clouds. The darker areas remain unaffected by the effect, depending on the placement of the filter, allowing for proper exposure of all details. Cokin Nuances GND filters are compatible with Cokin Creative Filter Holders of size M, which are available separately. For nearly limitless creativity, the Nuances GND filters can be combined with other filters from the Creative Filter System.
