Cokin Nuances GND filters are used when you want to specifically darken an overly bright part of the image. This is the essential difference from the Cokin Nuances Full ND filters, which uniformly reduce the light hitting the sensor. In practice, the Nuances GND filters darken bright areas such as the sky in landscape photography, thereby enhancing contrast and structure in the clouds. The darker areas remain unaffected by the effect, depending on the placement of the filter, allowing for proper exposure of all details. Cokin Nuances GND filters are compatible with Cokin Creative Filter Holders of size M, which are available separately. For nearly limitless creativity, the Nuances GND filters can be combined with other filters from the Creative Filter System.
