The battery can also be charged while in the laptop. Due to its high capacity, the battery contains more cells internally and is therefore approximately 2.5 cm taller than the original battery, which means your laptop will sit slightly tilted (allowing for better airflow). This battery is also about 1.9 cm longer than the smaller battery due to its high capacity, but it still fits perfectly for the XPS 14 battery.
