The EHX Mono Synth transforms your guitar into eleven amazing-sounding synthesizers, ranging from vintage synth emulations to thick, layered voices, piercing lead sounds, and more. The Mono Synth is designed to work on your guitar without modifications, special pickups, or MIDI implementation. Thanks to its straightforward layout, it's easy to use and quickly turns into cool sounds. The DRY knob on the pedal adjusts the dry guitar volume at the synth output, while SYNTH controls the volume of the synthesizer sound at the synth output. Together, you can create just the right mix.

The SENS knob, short for Sensitivity, regulates how the playing dynamics trigger the synthesizer, allowing you to fine-tune the pedal's response to your guitar and playing style. With the CTRL knob, you can set an important parameter for each of the eleven synthesizer types. It varies depending on the preset and offers additional options for customizing your sound. There is also an EXP input, allowing you to control a completely different parameter in real-time with an expression pedal. The built-in preset footswitch lets you create, save, and recall a custom preset for each of the eleven synth sounds. Factory presets can also be easily restored if needed.
