If the optional battery grip is equipped with two additional batteries, the camera has enough power for about 1,450 photos, and in Economy mode, even for up to 1,700 photos. When the battery charge runs low, the camera automatically switches to the next battery without shutting down or interrupting the ongoing recording, such as video or continuous shooting.
