Die kompakte Kamera zeichnet sich durch eine gute Aufnahmequalität mit Full HD Videos sowie einem effektiven Bildstabilisator aus. Dabei ist die Virb extrem einfach in der Bedienung und das kleine Display ist auch unter der Sonne gut ablesbar. Leider ist das Modell nur bis zu 1 Meter wasserdicht und die Speicherkarte ist schwierig zu entnehmen...
Bei der Garmin VIRB Elite stört die fummelige Bedienung: Die mit Gummi armierten Tasten lassen kaum einen Druckpunkt spüren, die SD-Karte versteckt sich tief unterm Akku und das Display ist nur bei Licht ablesbar. Qualität und Ausstattung stimmen: Die Garmin-Videos sehen sehr natürlich und nicht so knallig wie die der GoPro Hero 3 aus. Auf Wunsch zeichnet die VIRB Elite GPS- und Höhendaten auf.
Das schicke Modell zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die Ausstattung samt Funktionsvielfalt hier mehr als gut ist. Allerdings ist die aufgespielte Firmware teils instabil. Die Aufnahmen gelingen in guter Qualität und auch das Display ist eine Hilfe bei der Arbeit. Allerdings ist es bei Sonnenlicht schwer abzulesen.
Mit GPS. Edelvariante der Garmin-Action-Cam. Nimmt Geodaten auf und kommuniziert via WLan mit Smartphone und Tablet. App für Android und iPhone verfügbar. Sonst wie das einfache Schwestergerät: Videos und Fotos passabel. Unterwassergehäuse gegen Aufpreis (ca. 40 Euro) bis 50 m Wassertiefe.
Die kompakte Action Cam arbeitet zuverlässig und ist dabei sehr einfach zu bedienen. Videos filmt das Gerät in Full HD sowie solider Qualität. Allerdings ist das Modell recht schwer und somit eher unhandlich. Dafür ist ein kleines Display integriert, das sehr hilfreich ist.
