Bei der E-P3 handelt es sich um das aktuelle Spitzenmodell aus der Olympus-Pen-Reihe. Die Kamera überzeugt vor allem mit ihrer guten Geschwindigkeit inklusive schnellem Autofokus. Im Vergleich zu ihrem Vorgänger der Pen E-P2 konnte der Hersteller ebenso in Sachen Bildqualität deutliche Fortschritte machen.

…Die Videoqualität überzeugt nicht, das Bild sieht stets verrauscht aus. Außerdem entsprechen die Aufnahmen im 30p-Standard nicht der europäischen PAL-Norm, weshalb bei der Wiedergabe ruckelige Schwenks zu beobachten sind…

Die schicke Olympus fühlt sich in der Foto-Disziplin offenbar deutlich wohler als beim Filmen. Starkes Ruckeln bei Bewegungen im Motiv raubt schnell die Freude an HD-Videos. Da hilft es wenig, dass sich viele Bildparameter den eigenen Vorstellungen anpassen lassen.
