The StageBug SB-4 Piezo is a DI box specifically designed for instruments with piezo pickups. Piezo pickups are notorious for their very sharp and edgy sound when the wrong load is applied. The SB-4 is optimized with a 10 MOhm input impedance, which simultaneously controls the dynamics and improves the frequency response for a warmer and more natural tone. Additionally, the SB-4 features a high-pass switch that gently filters out excessive bass that can cause resonance feedback. This makes the SB-4 excellent for miking violins, violas, mandolins, double basses, and expensive guitars where you do not want to use an active system.
