The Banana Pi Leaf is an energy-efficient microcontroller designed for the Internet of Things, makers, and STEAM education. The integrated ESP32-S3 chip of the Leaf-S3 is powered by a Xtensa® 32-bit LX7 dual-core processor with a main frequency of up to 240 MHz. It supports wireless 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® LE dual-mode communication. The peripheral device is compatible with low-power hardware design, consuming only 10 uA in deep sleep mode.

The main controller supports two power supply modes: USB and an external 3.7V lithium battery, which can realize automatic power switching in dual power supply mode and supports USB charging mode. Its small size, convenient interface, and ease of use allow for direct application in low-power IoT projects. Regarding programming, the Leaf-S3 motherboard supports ESP-IDF, Arduino, MicroPython, and other programming and development methods. All I/O pins corresponding to the chip are marked on the Leaf-S3 mainboard, lowering the barrier for use.
