The Tascam CA-XLR2d is a two-channel microphone adapter and preamplifier that allows the use of high-quality external microphones to ensure stereo sound with DSLR and other cameras. The audio signal is transmitted directly to the camera—either digitally or analog—and recorded along with the video signal. This eliminates the need to synchronize audio and video separately in post-production.

With two XLR/TRS inputs and a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack, any dynamic or condenser microphones can be connected, including handheld microphones, shotgun microphones, and lavalier microphones, as well as receivers for wireless microphones.

The CA-XLR2d is powered directly by the camera, so no separate power supply is required. The CA-XLR2d-C is designed for Canon cameras.
