The TMT-TC-2 solder tip high-tinning paste is a compressed paste made from pure tin and an ammonia phosphate formulation, contained in a metal container with a lid. It features a self-adhesive pad on the bottom to secure it to or near the workstation.

The best results are achieved by rolling or wiping the solder tip over the surface of the TMT-TC-2 for a few seconds at normal soldering temperature to create localized melting. There is no need to apply strong pressure or scrub. Prolonged contact may lead to significant smoke production.

The residues on the solder tip are non-corrosive and can be removed by wiping the tip with brass wool or a damp (not wet) sponge.
