Product details

The Industrial Counter Bricklet can be used to extend Bricks with four independent frequency counters. The Bricklet features an integrated edge counter that can measure duty cycle, period, and frequency separately for each channel. Frequencies of up to 4 MHz can be processed by the Bricklet. The frequency counter can count rising, falling, or both edge transitions. The counting direction (up or down) is adjustable. It is also possible to use one channel as a direction input for another counter (e.g., high = counts up, low = counts down). All four channels are galvanically isolated from each other. Example applications for the Bricklet include reading a PWM signal or reading sensors that have an edge counter or frequency output. The Industrial Counter Bricklet has a 7-pin Bricklet connector and is connected to a Brick using a 7p-10p Bricklet cable.
