The sound recorder and playback device VMA449, based on the ISD1820, allows for the recording and playback of audio files with a length of up to 20 seconds. The module features flash memory to retain recordings even when power is lost. Playback can occur in three different modes. It comes with a 0.5 W / 8 Ω speaker and microphone. Features include onboard control buttons and a digital interface for microcontroller control, automatic shutdown, speaker output: 8 Ω can be controlled manually or externally via a microcontroller, sampling rate and length can be adjusted using a resistor, and recording length: max. 20 seconds with 0.5 W / 8 Ω speaker and microphone and connection cable.
