The Zoom B3n is a multi-effects unit specifically designed for bass, offering a wide range of sounds and features. The B3n includes 67 stompbox effects such as overdrive, distortion, modulation effects, delays, and reverb, as well as 5 amp simulations and 5 cabinet simulations. Amp models like Ampeg SVT, Fender Bassman 100, SWR SM-400, Trace Elliot AH400SMX, and Aguilar DB750 provide convincing sound characteristics when combined with the speaker cabinet simulations. Up to 7 effects can be used simultaneously in the effects chain, opening up plenty of possibilities. The operation is intuitive and easily navigable via the LCD display.

As an additional feature, the B3n includes a built-in looper for loop sequences of up to 80 seconds. It also has an integrated rhythm section with 68 rhythm patterns, making the B3n an ideal tool for practicing and jamming. A chromatic tuner is also included. An Aux input allows for the connection of an external audio source such as a smartphone or MP3 player. There are two main outputs (L/R) and a headphone jack available. The optional FP02M expression pedal can be connected to the control-in jack (not included).

The free software Zoom Guitar Lab is used to organize patches and load new effect patches onto the B3n via USB. A suitable power supply is included for powering the unit.
