Thanks to the three internal microphones with digital signal processing, the SGH-6 achieves a frequency-independent supercardioid characteristic. Shotgun microphones are often used when a microphone cannot be placed directly in front of the sound source. If the distance to the audio source exceeds three meters during recording, this distance will increasingly be noticeable in the sound, which should be considered before recording.
