With the new tripod/stationary mode, overheating should no longer be a problem. Because of the battery, you would have to connect a power bank or something similar. Charging and recording at the same time is not a problem.

I don't think so as the camera gets very hot, if it gets cooling then sure but I wouldn't try it without.
