This is a very specific question to a combination of devices which very rarely can be answered.
I use this docking station since over a year on a daily basis in mi home office with my private as well as with my business laptop (Windows PCs) over Thunderbolt with two different monitors (HDMI and DisplayPort). So far the only downside with this product is that from time to time the resolution on one screen changes to worse. ... In this case I just turn the affected monitor  off and on again and everything is back to normal. Probably it's not even the fault of this docking station.
