The question is whether she needs it. Even if it's only Fr 23.10, it's a shame if something is just lying around unused. Are there any applications/photographic motifs for which your girlfriend would need a tripod? Ok, if she is completely new to photography, this question is rather difficult to answer. The fact is that there are relatively few or rather special situations where you need a tripod.
To complete the starter kit, a larger memory card, a second battery or a voucher for a bag of your choice would perhaps be a greater added value at the beginning. If a tripod is desired or needed, this can always be fulfilled at the next opportunity.

I have this tripod and use it with a compact camera and smartphones - especially on hikes. Low weight and compact dimensions were the deciding factors. For a camera like the EOS 4000, which weighs 4+ times more than my camera, the tripod is completely unsuitable. Even for an "entry-level" SLR camera like the EOS 4000, you need a much more massive Startiv.
