If you need a longer "USB-C to USB-A" cable, any cable should work correctly.
"USB-C to USB-C" is a different story. There are too many things that may not work properly because the cable needs to support data transfer and power (charging via USB-C).
In both cases, I strongly recommend looking for cables that are not cheap, but this is especially true for "USB-C to USB-C" cables.

In both cases, I really recommend looking for not-cheap cables, but this is true especially for "USB-C to USB-C" cable.
