No, superglue is superfluous.
It has 10 fine catches on the inside of the shell. You have to press and clamp the rubber edge of the new pads under these. That IS fiddly, but once you've done it (sturdy fingernails are an advantage) it holds just as well as new ones.
In my opinion, it doesn't need superglue. The Youtube video is a good guide on how to replace the cushion kit. If it doesn't work on the first try, don't despair! :-)
No. Without superglue from model making, everything here is very fiddly and imprecise. Bose needs to improve here. The ear cups fall out again. The narrow grey rubber is also coming loose.
