This Satechi Stand & Hub (no matter which model) is connected to the Mac mini with USB-C. So if the Mac mini supports it, the hub will work. As far as I know, the 2018 model has USB-C (Thunderbolt 3). So it should work. There are two versions of this hub. The "old" one without an SSD slot and, since a few weeks, the new one with an SSD slot.
