The fitness trackers have GPS or Connected GPS. What is the difference between the two? Can you track the location in the.app or see it in real time?
Unlike the name suggests, devices with Connected GPS do not have their own GPS receiver. They cannot therefore evaluate the position signal on their own. This requires a smartphone, which in turn must have a GPS receiver and can thus receive, process and forward the signal to the fitness tracker or watch.

Connected GPS means that the watches connect to the mobile phone and measure the GPS via it. The mobile phone must therefore be nearby, but otherwise there is no difference in output to an integrated GPS.
