Yes, you need a bridge. The Innr products are based on ZigBee, so it also works with a Phillips HUE Bridge. However, unlike some Phillips products, Innr products are NOT controllable via Bluetooth. Some Phillips products can be controlled via Bluetooth. If you are thinking about buying a Phillips HUE product in the future, I recommend using the HUE Bridge. HUE products do not work reliably with the Innr Bridge, the HUE Bridge also allows more settings than other ZigBee Bridges.

I have 2 such LED strips at home, but they are not even displayed as compatible for entertainment. That means I can't control them in Windows. I don't have a Sync Box but I think they will be incompatible there too. Greetings Imre

Question cannot be answered because there is no information for which operating system. A bridge such as Philips Hue is necessary for use. The light strip cannot be controlled without it. Therefore, the app belonging to the corresponding bridge must be used. PS: Texts with commas, dots and question marks would be easier to read.
