Yes, it is possible to disable wifi. You can activate the wifi to set the alarm clock with your smartphone and then deactivate the wifi. The settings then remain programmed in the alarm clock.

I also tried switching it off but unfortunately didn't succeed. Doesn't bother me though 👍
